Guide 01 · Getting started
One sentence in. A plan and a task list out.
Bring the business you have in mind, even if it is only a rough idea. Nightshift Desk reads the description and writes back a researched plan and a short, numbered task list.
The first session
What happens after you press start
- Describe the business. Write what it does, who it serves and what you want to offer. Choose a new idea or an existing business.
- Press start. The start screen shows a progress line while the plan and the task list are produced.
- Read the plan. It names the customer, the problem, the offer, the first channel and the main risks.
- Read the task list. Each task is one concrete piece of operating work, numbered in the order the plan named it.
- Open one task. The next guide covers the run, the output and what to do if a run fails.
The description
Give the desk something to work with.
You do not need a finished business plan. Three plain answers are enough to start.
Who it is for
Name the person or small group you have in mind. A sentence is enough.
What is hard for them
Say what they are trying to do, and where the work gets stuck.
What you want to offer
Describe the thing you want to sell, help with or build.
If something interrupts
Your description stays put.
If the session cannot finish, the start screen says so and keeps the words you typed. Press start again when you are ready; you do not have to write the description a second time.
Where to go next
From reading to running.
Start with one sentence about the business, or open the workspace and pick up the task you left waiting.
